CNC Machinist
(Reports to the Branch Manager)

Role
Spector Pipe Services is currently seeking a career driven, highly motivated employee for our CNC Machinist position to join our team in Sexsmith, AB.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program and operate CNC machines
  • Train junior operators on all machines
  • Adhere to safety, quality and work process initiatives
  • Monitor customer satisfaction   
  • Maintain a positive and safe work environment
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience operating CNC or manual lathes
  • Inspection or pipe yard experience considered an asset
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Commitment to safety
  • Knowledge of API rotary and casing/tubing connections
  • Organized and thorough work habits
  • Ability to work independently or with a team
  • Ability to conduct one’s self in a professional manner
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions (heat and cold)
  • Must be able to walk, sit and stand for an extended period of time

Pipe Inspector
(Reports to the Branch Manager)
Location: Sexsmith, AB

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Follow all work instruction and safety requirements
  • Perform drill pipe, tubing and casing pipe inspection
  • Perform general cleaning, maintenance of equipment and workspace
  • Visually and dimensionally inspect pipe and/or pipe coatings
  • Maintain records of inspection as necessary
Qualifications Required: 
  • Willingness to learn. Training provided to meet Spector’s quality processes; customer requirements/specifications
  • A team player with the ability; can work independently
  • Desire to develop skills
  • Experience in tubular inspection, rig returns and pipe yard services
  • Able to read, understand, apply all standard operating procedures and field inspection criteria 
  • Familiar with API Inspection specifications
  • Familiar with basic inspection tools, gauges, instruments, etc. 
  • Ability to conduct one’s self in a professional manner 
  • Commitment to safety

General Labourer
